For the nationwide publication Revista da Cultura, edited by bookstore chain Livraria Cultura, I hold this interview with writer, professor, and cultural manager Luiz Antonio de Assis Brasil, at the time he was Secretary of Culture for the state of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. Here he talks about the beginning of his career, his passion for music (as well as his failure as a musician), his literary trajectory, his workshop for creative writing, and, among other topics, his longing for the late writer Moacyr Scliar.
