In 2010, on the eve of the World Cup in South Africa, the magazine Continuum by Itaú Cultural institute published an issue about soccer. Back then, artist Ana Luiza Koehler and I developed a six-page reportage about the peak, decline, and hopes of returning to the top of a soccer club in the city of Caxias do Sul, in southern Brazil. It was the first comics journalism publication in the magazine, and even my first comics reportage.
