The reportage with the title “Die Pandemie in der Peripherie und die Peripherie in der Pandemie” [The pandemic in the periphery and the periphery in the pandemic] was developed for the German website NPLA (Nachrichtenpool Lateinamerika), a news portal about Latin America based in Berlin. I interviewed experts and slum dwellers to report about how the proliferation of COVID-19 has hit Brazil’s poorest population.
