Augusto Paim is a journalist graduated from UFSM and has a master’s degree in Letters/Creative Writing from PUCRS. In 2019, he completed his PhD with a DAAD/CAPES scholarship at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany, with a thesis on comic reporting, published in book form by Ch. A. Bachmann. In partnership with the Goethe Institute, he was curator of the Osmosis project for an exchange of comic artists and organizer of the I and II International Meeting of Journalism in Comics. He also works as a translator and reporter, carrying out reports and translations in both prose and comics. He lived in Germany for eight years, the last of those years working at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin, a literature center founded in 1963 on the shores of Lake Wannsee. There, he was co-founder and editor of the alternative news portal LCB diplomatique (www.lcb-diplomatique.net), in which protagonists of literary life from around the world took a look at pressing societal issues through a short text and a photo.
